Jackson United Football Club was formed in 1978. Several players that were the nucleus of this team had travelled that year to the Olympic Development Trials in Atlanta, GA. Upon their return from that event,
they wanted to form a club team in Jackson that would be dedicated to
player development. JUFC was that team. |
| In the first year, two teams were formed...an Under-19 team and an Under-16 team. Both of these teams went on to win the state championship and continue on to regional competition. |
Jackson United existed from 1979-1982. The
Club won three State Championships and two second place finishes during
those years. |
