Aslan's Soccer Club was formed in 1994. The club was named
for Aslan, the Christian-metaphor Lion in the C. S. Lewis' Narnia series.
I joined the club in 1996 and began coaching the U-12 girls. I stayed
with these girls for three years.

We took second in the state in 1996 as u-12s.
We took second again in the state in 1997 as U-13s.
The team won the state championship as U-14s
in 1998 and represented Mississippi in the Region III championships in
Oklahoma City, OK.
