Extension Table Support Cabinet Powermatic Table Saw |

The table saw is the central focus of the
shop. The Powermatic 66 is a real workhorse. The extension table on
the right side did not have the legs shown in this stock photo. After
building a rear outfeed table and downdraft table, I installed a shop
built drawer cabinet with a dual purpose of extension table support
and storage for table saw accessories. |
I designed the width of the unit to accommodate a large metal drawer that I recycled. The height of the cabinet was designed to just fit under the extension table. Here is the carcase with substantial lower rails for a large metal drawer. Upper rails will be for three shop made wooden drawers. |

Here is the carcase with the metal drawer installed. Levelers are seen on the side. |
The three shop built drawers were constructed
with 1/2 inch birch plywood with 1/4 inch luan bottoms. |

Adjustable feet will allow the unit to be
installed and then be elevated to make contact with the bottom of the
extesnsion table to both support the table and secure the cabinet.. |
