Knife Build #28

I ordered this Hock Paring Knife Kit from Hock Tools.

The 3.5 inch paring knife kit consists of a wonderful Hock blade and the necessary pins. The kit is Model #KP350.

This knife is for my cousin Donna.

It will have bocote handle scales.

For the most part, all of the steps in this process are identical to the first knife.

The RX90 sanding sequence was 80x, 150x, 220x, 320x, to 400x.

Wet sanding was performed on saturation coats of my shop mixed wiping varnish...sequence was 400x, 600x, 800x, 1000x.
Final coating was Skelton Peacock Oil, three coats.
Blade sharpening was performed with Wicked Edge.  Angle was reground at 19 with 100x through 1000x diamond stones. Then polished with 1200x-1600x ceramic stones.
Final polish .6 μ ceramic stone and then bamboo strop with .5 μ diamond paste.

Finished knife.
